Students should have a safe, comfortable environment to thrive and blossom. Counselors will provide services that can assist students in becoming their best self and provide resources for them to gain personal knowledge to help them grow.

The students of our school can receive services according to individual need or group need that is supported by the counseling program. Counselor will work in a collaborative effort with parents, faculty/staff, and other stakeholders. We understand that each student has the potential to achieve greatness. In collaboration with the support system, we can build each student to help them strive for their life goals.

The Role of the School Counselor
TN School Model for Comprehensive School Counseling* To counsel with students individually and in small groups *To present developmental lessons in the classroom and in small groups *To serve as a student advocate *To consult with teachers, administrators, school support personnel, parents and business/community agencies *To participate in school meetings *To work with parents in teaching effective parenting skills, creating a positive environment, and encouraging parent participation *To provide staff development in identified areas of need and in orientation to the school counseling program *To provide leadership in career development of all students *To coordinate school activities pertaining to school counseling program *To facilitate the evaluation of the school counseling program *To work with students to develop strategies to provide support for classroom success |
